Dennis/Larose Uniforms

Children in kindergarten through eighth grade are required to wear uniforms. All tops and outerwear worn in the classroom must have the CDS logo. Any jacket for outside is acceptable. All uniform clothing items should be purchased from our uniform provider, Dennis/Larose.

The CDS administration has selected specific clothing items that may be purchased from Dennis/Larose to achieve Central Day School’s uniform look. Most items are mix and match. Please see the special instructions listed on the guidelines sheets for any limitations (click here to see CDS uniform guidelines.) How do I purchase Dennis/Larose uniform items?

In-store – 6935 Appling Farms Parkway, Suite 101, Memphis - Directions from I-40: take the Whitten Rd. north exit (exit 14) / turn right at the 1st stop light / the Larose store is on the right. Shop early!!!

Important Guidelines to remember when shopping for uniforms:

• All uniform clothing items with the exception of hair accessories, socks, tights, and shoes must be purchased from Dennis/Larose.
• Navy and plaid jumpers must be worn with a white or yellow peter pan collar blouse.
• Clothing must be neat, clean, modest, hemmed and free of excessive wear. 
• Clothes must be the appropriate size, not baggy or tight. 
• Skirts and jumpers must be no shorter than 2" above the top of the knee.
• Shorts (boys and girls) and skorts must be no shorter than 3" above the top of the knee.
• Undershirts must be white without graphics or writing.
• Tights must be full length. No leggings.
• Tops and blouses must be tucked in accept where noted.
• All blouses, tops, and classroom outerwear must have a CDS logo.
• Long sleeve shirts may not be layered under short sleeve shirts.
• Head scarves and hats are not allowed in the building and may only be worn on cold weather days outside.
• Shoe color and design must conform to the uniform guidelines available in the school office.
• Ties may be requested for special events when representing the school. 
• Ties may NOT be worn with shorts or polo shirts.
• Sweater vest must be worn with solid color shirts.
• Long sleeve shirts may not be layered under short sleeve shirts.
